Special Events for 2008

A full range of special events have been arranged for the Open Days at the Mill.
11th May Mills on the Air - the Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society return to set up and operate the amateur radio station GB4NHM at the Mill.
Rural Crafts Demonstration - Adam and Dave return to demonstrate the construction of gate hurdles using coppice materials and tools.
26th May World of Willow - Maggie Cooper demonstrates basket making skills.
  8th June RSPB - Birds Near You - the RSPB Project team and Sutton Coldfield Branch of RSPB will be organising activities and a bird nature trail.
World of the Honey Bee - Julian Routh gives advise on bee keeping.
13th July Stationary Engines, sprayers and a variety of unusual collections. Walsall Handspinners return to demonstrate spinning by hand.
10th August Malcolm Caine returns with the popular Wood Turning demonstration.
Ride-on mini-traction engine and fairground organ by Dennis Bowen.
25th August

The Lace Guild with Meg Lawrence demonstrate lacemaking and another visit by Malcolm Caine to demonstrate more Wood Turning.
14th September 
(Heritage Open             Day)
The Midland Hand Weavers return to demonstrate the art of weaving.
The first visit by The Guild of Straw Craftsmen will provide 'hands-on' experience for constructing 'favours' or simple corn-dollies.
