Special Events for 2011

A wide range of special events have been arranged for the Open Days at the Mill.
8th May This year we have the first visit by the Wolseley Register Car Club who will be displaying their vintage cars.

Malcolm Caine returns with his popular Wood Turning and
Danny Brain will be entertaining us with his Harmonette.
12th June Nature Day - displays and demonstrations by the RSPB (Sutton Coldfield Branch), British Trust for Ornithology and The Woodlands Trust, plus a display of vintage gardenalia by David Stanford.
10th July Hobbies Day - Geoff and Stuart Kendall, Adrian Lanchster-Hale and friends with Stationary Engines, Garden Sprayers and other hobbies.
World of the Honey Bee - Julian Routh will demonstrate his observation beehive and give advice on bee keeping.
14th August Craft Day 1 - The Guild of Straw Craftsmen return to provide 'hands-on' experience for constructing 'favours' or simple corn-dollies, also Danny Squires, a Sutton Park Ranger, organises 'stick-dressing'.

Craft Day 2 - Sutton Lacemakers with Meg Lawrence demonstrate lacemaking, plus more Wood Turning by Malcolm Caine.
11th September Heritage Open Day - Walsall Handspinners return to demonstrate spinning by hand and the Austin Seven Club will be returning with an display of their vintage cars.
