The History and Machinery of New Hall Mill

This comprehensive 31-page guide is divided into
two sections, each originally published in "Wind and Water Mills", the Journal of The Midland Wind and Water Mills Group. Both sections are illustrated by a number of maps and diagrams.

The History section begins with the origins of the mill in the 16th century. It then documents the leases, millers and structural changes to the mill, continuing up to the first Open Day held in 1996.

The Machinery section gives plans of the mill site, showing the many changes made around the mill as
it was altered or rebuilt over the years. It describes the arrangements of the stone and machinery floors and the items of equipment within the mill. Some conjectural plans of the mill when it had two internal waterwheels and four sets of stones are included.
