Stationary Engines - 2007

This year the Lion engine was seen driving a small feed mill, typical of those that would have existed on
farms with only a limited number of stock to feed. Farms with larger stock numbers would have relied on specialist mills, such as New Hall Mill, to produce the rations for the stock. The Lister engine was again stirring the mixing bowl.

Also on display, with an emphasis on items from the Four Oaks Spraying Machine Company, originally based in Belwell Lane, Mere Green, were a range of larger sprayers. Among these was a recently aquired 25 gallon lime sprayer powered by a 4-stroke Villiers that originally cost £135 in 1959. Other items included models based on a bucket or carried on the back of the operator.
